He is an invited speaker at various international conferences, including the Buckendale lecturer at SAE COMVEC in 2022, and serves on the Editorial Board of the SAE International Journal pf Sustainable Transportation, Energy, Environment, & Policy. He is regularly invited by the Department of Energy to review funding proposals and technical progress at the Annual Merit Review.
