First Impressions

It doesn’t take long to sense what type of energy someone is taking into the New Year.

There’s the person who sleeps in, staggers into work still groggy from the holiday weight, and eases into things.

And there’s the person who gets up extra early and seizes the day, determined to make this year better than the last.

We’re all somewhere on this spectrum. We’re either eager to get better or content to keep things as they’ve been.

And if you already got back to your normal routine, you’ve already lost your chance to make the first impression on the new year.

But if things didn’t start off too great, the good thing is that first impressions aren’t always what they’re made out to be.

What we do on January 2nd doesn’t determine our success. It’s what we can sustain through January, and February, and all the way into December that matters.
