Tim Ferriss’s first podcast episode was awful. Look it up if you ever want a good laugh, it’s hard to even make it through the discussion.

He isn’t alone. The first time anyone tries to make something, it doesn’t turn out well. That’s part of the learning process.

There are two useful takeaways here.

First, if you start something new, the first few won’t be good. Accept this and get over it.

Second, if you want to make something good, the best way is to simply start.

You can almost guarantee you’ll eventually cringe looking back at your early work (if you’re lucky enough to get that far) but that’s the price for making something worthwhile.
