Streaking

Some players can heat up quickly.

They seem to hit another gear after they make a good play or their team starts to on a run.

These players are often also susceptible to letting up runs.

As quickly as they can heat up, they can let things get out of hand once they start to go south.

On the opposite side of the spectrum is the always composed “rock.” They don’t have the same ability to heat-up, but they’re the ones you want to settle things down when they aren’t going your way.

Either personality isn’t necessarily better than the other.

But it’s important to recognize how every player responds to different scenarios.
