Sometimes we ask for a do-over.
Sometimes that do-over is forced on us.
When the latter happens, it’s tempting to let frustration win. To settle for shotty work because we’re tired, and we don’t feel like backtracking.
But there’s another approach that’s equally viable.
Every experience is a learning opportunity. I can’t count how many times I’ve finished a project, just to look back and see all of the things that I would do better if I had to do it again.
Starting over gives us that chance.
Not to hurry up and get back to where we were.
But to be even better.

[Quick status update for anyone keeping score at home – my basement flooded just two days after I finished laying a new floor. Time to start over.]
As always, I enjoyed seeing the perspective you have on situations most people would find as negative!
Thanks, Check! I’m glad you enjoyed the story and I appreciate the feedback
