The default request from some people is information provided COB, or by 5 pm on a given day.

It’s quick to write and it intuitively makes sense.

But unless the information will be reviewed in the evening or over the weekend, why not make it due first thing the following morning?

It’s a minor detail, but for any global company or place where people generally tend to work past “COB,” it can make a world of difference.
