When was the last time you caught yourself watching the clock or wishing for a given activity to be over with?
Most likely, not long ago.
Maybe it was this morning as you hurried to get to work. Or last night as you cleaned up after dinner. Or last week as you willed the remaining hours of the workweek away so your weekend could begin.
What’s the hurry?
Every minute we wish away is wasted. A lost opportunity to enjoy our lives as we make our inevitable journey towards death.
It might seem like something as simple as commuting or washing the dishes is a waste of time, but it doesn’t need to be. With the proper perspective, these moments are part of the puzzle that help to make our lives rich.
Not every moment, or even every day, is exciting. And that’s just fine.
We don’t need to have a huge success or make some extravagant plan to enjoy being alive.
Life is in every moment that passes. We have the choice to enjoy it or to let it slip away.
