What’s the most beautiful part of a sunset?
The sun, obviously. Right?
Not so fast.
A sunset can fall flat if there aren’t any clouds to reflect the warm light curving around our atmosphere. There still might be color, but the impact and the dramatic effect is diminished.
Some of the coolest sunset pictures I’ve ever taken don’t even show the sun in the frame. Rather, the picture uses the light from the setting sun as a tool to amplify the surroundings in a unique and beautiful way.
In some ways, the setting sun is like any impactful person or event in our lives.
It’s not about the subject. It’s about how it impacts everything around it.
