We now have a powerful camera everywhere we go.
It’s great, because we can capture everything.
But there’s a negative aspect as well.
On more than one occasion, I’ve caught myself losing interest after getting “the picture.”
I travel to an incredible place with a view, and snag a picture for my memories. Nothing wrong there.
But then I’m ready to move on. Rather than taking it in and enjoying the view, I feel the urge to go to the next thing.
It isn’t hard to overcome the urge once we realize it, but it definitely takes some degree of mindfulness.
There’s more to a beautiful place than a pretty picture.
